Timothy “Tim” G. Kauffman, 83, of Emmaus, died June 12, 2016. He was embraced by his family as he made his journey into the presence of his Lord. He was the husband of Wanda (Smith) Kauffman. He was a son of the late Clifford L. and Ethel H. (Mann) Kauffman. He spent a happy childhood in Emmaus surrounded by his large extended family.
He served in the Army as a medic stationed in Germany. He then attended and received a Bachelor of Science degree in construction engineering from John Brown University.
He and his wife served as missionaries, spending 24 years (1963-1987) in France and Congo, Africa.
Throughout his entire life, he was a loving and caring husband, son, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. He was a faithful member of Bethel Bible Fellowship Church, Emmaus. His life exemplified his love of God, family, adventure and learning.
He is survived by his wife; daughters, Jeanne Annette and her husband Edward Zelner, Brenda and her husband Steven Mazzi; sons, Christopher, Michael and his wife Christine; sisters, Vivian Foster and her husband Rev. C. Biddle, Mary Jane Cole; nine grandchildren; one great-grandson; one paternal aunt, Florence Schlonecker; one maternal aunt, Dorothy Mann; 17 nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be made to Bethel Bible Fellowship Church, 418 Elm St., Emmaus, 18049. Donations will be used for missions’ projects in Congo, Africa.
