Robert W. Schnierlein Jr.

Robert W. “Bobby” Schnierlein, Jr., 76, of Emmaus, died June 18, 2016. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Robert W. Sr. and Jean (Freeman) Schnierlein.

He worked for Boyle Construction and Imperial Excavating for many years before his retirement. He was also the owner of #1 T-Shirt Shop and Country Grill in the Allentown Farmers Market.

He was a 53-year member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America with Local #600.

He served in the United States Army with the military police at Torii Station, Okinawa, Japan.

He was a member of several local VFWs and fire companies and enjoyed playing pool with a local league.

He was a former wrestling city champ and was extremely proud to have maintained his high school wrestling weight his entire life.

He is survived by a daughter, Rhonda and her husband Jason Henry, and their son, Aidan, of Allentown; sister, Mary Ann Preston and her husband Donald R. Miller, of Macungie; former wife, Mary (Kavusak), of Macungie; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, William J., of Allentown in 2007.

A gathering will take place 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 24 at the Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 17th & Hamilton streets, Allentown. A service will be held 1 p.m. June 24.
