Pamela J. “Pam” Evans, 70, of Lower Macungie Township, died June 15, 2016, in her home surrounded by her entire loving family. She was the wife of Wayne Evans Jr. They would have celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary Sept. 2. Born in Harrisburg, she was the daughter of the late Betty M. (Stough) Esslinger and Leroy Esslinger.
She was a 1963 graduate of Middletown Area High School and attended The Harrisburg Hospital School of Nursing.
She had been a preschool teacher at Nativity Lutheran Church Child Development Center, Allentown, for 25 years and a member of the congregation.
She enjoyed traveling around the world and was fortunate to have visited more than 30 countries during her lifetime. Her passion for reading kept her busy while she enjoyed the sunshine at her Arizona winter-home. An avid animal lover, she was quite fond of her cats over her entire lifetime.
She is survived by her husband; daughter, Kristin Evans, of Harker Heights, Texas; grandson, Andy Leonard, of Austin, Texas; daughter, Colleen and her husband Richard Erb; granddaughter, Ashley Erb; grandson, Alex Erb, all of Lower Macungie Township; numerous cousins in Lancaster and York counties.

Services are private at the family’s convenience. Arrangements were made by the Cremation Society of Pennsylvania, Inc.
