Francis M. “Marie” Brown, 72, of Macungie, died June 16, 2016, in the Lehigh Center, Lower Macungie Township. She was the wife of the late Walter E. Brown, Jr. who died March 7, 2010. Born in Norristown, she was the daughter of the late Francis S. and Lillian (Hemighaus) Young.

She is survived by a daughter, Janet L. and her husband William Leister, of Macungie; son, James E. and his wife, Sarah, of Macungie; grandchildren, Matthew and Daniel Leister and Jacob and Joseph; siblings, Marin Robbins, Catherine Gaval, John Young and Suzanne Gerhart. She was predeceased by a son, David J., in 1974.
