Nancy L. Woodring, 78, of Catasauqua, died June 12, 2016, at Northampton Village. She was the wife of the late William “Bill” P. Woodring.

Born in Bowmanstown, she was a daughter of Howard “Reds” R. and Pauline R. (Youngkin) Bachman.

She was a 1955 graduate of Palmerton High School.

She worked on the testing and assembly line at Western Electric until she retired. She was a sewer in area garment factories.

She was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, Howertown.

She was a member of both the garden and women’s clubs in Catasauqua.

She was a volunteer at Catasauqua Thrift Shop for many years.

She is survived by a son, Todd W. and his wife Tania of Schnecksville; a daughter, Tammy L. and her husband Scott Metzger of Northampton; a stepdaughter, Constance M. and her husband Jim Bugbee; a brother, Bruce R. Bachman; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a stepson, David M. Woodring; and a sister, Mary Jane Eckhart.

There will be a viewing from 10 to 11 a.m., followed by services 11 a.m., both June 16 at the funeral home, 234 Walnut St., Catasauqua.
