James H. Milkowich, 73, of Bethlehem, died June 10, 2016, at Blough Healthcare Center, Bethlehem. He was the husband of Mary Ann (Dancs) Milkowich for 48 years.
Born in Palmerton, he was a son of the late Charles and Mary (Beirao) Milkowich.
He was an MM3 in the U.S. Navy from 1960-63 and was on the USS Forrestal (CV-59) and toured the Mediterranean Sea.
He was a mechanic for Mack Trucks at both the Allentown and Macungie plants for 43 years until he retired in 2003.
He was a member of St. Stephen of Hungary Roman Catholic Church, Allentown.
He participated in basketball, softball and volleyball as a member of Mack Trucks Athletic League.
He coached soccer and baseball for Bath-East Allen Youth Club.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Kathleen M. and her husband Steven Roosa of Langhorne; a son, James P. and his wife Dawn of Shoreham, N.Y.; two sisters, Marie and her husband Peter Travis of Ocean Springs, Miss., and Barbara Milkowich of Whitehall; five grandsons; Justin, Zachary, Matthew, Vincent and Jason; and two step-granddaughters, Grace and Mary.
There will be a calling time from 7 to 8:30 p.m. June 17 and 8:15-9:15 a.m. June 18 at the funeral home, 2119 Washington Ave., Northampton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. June 18 at the church, 510 Union St., Allentown.
