CANAL MUSEUM
“Dixie: Easton’s Cup of Health and Happiness,” opens June 11 and continues through Oct. 2 at The National Canal Museum, 2750 Hugh Moore Park Road, Easton.
It’s the Canal Museum’s first-ever exhibit on the Dixie Cup Corp., founded by Hugh Moore. The exhibition, drawn from the museum’s collection and the Hugh Moore Dixie Cup Collection at the Skillman Library of Lafayette College, traces the history of Dixie Cup from its birth during the Progressive campaign against the germ-ridden common drinking cup in the early 20th century through advertisements, photographs, video and vintage cups.
The exhibit is supported by a grant from Georgia-Pacific Corp.
