Dennis J. Mastriani, 67, of Macungie, died May 29, 2016, in St. Luke’s Hospice House. He was the husband of artist/sculptor Martha Moore Westbrook, of Macungie. Born in Newark, N.J., he was the son of Shirley (Lynch) Mastriani and the late James Mastriani.
He worked for Student Transporation of America as a school bus driver for the East Penn School District, although the majority of his previous professional career was devoted to the field of high frequency radio telecommunications, where he worked as a senior RF technician, senior technical associate, civilian contractor and senior consultant for various telecom industry companies such as DHPC Technologies, Inc., 12WD, Teltronics Technology Corp., G3 Technologies, Inc., Lucent Technologies, Network Wireless Systems, AT&T, Bell Laboratories, and Canadian Marconi.
In 1987, he was awarded a U.S. patent for an Antenna Alignment System and Method.
As a York Rite Mason, he was a Past Master of Emmaus Lodge #792 F&AM, Past Thrice Illustrious Master of Allen Council #33, in addition to being a member of Allen-Beauceant Commandery No. 20, Knights Templar, and was also a member of Lehigh Lodge.
He is survived by his wife; mother; sister, Georgette Norris.
