Alburtis Borough Council decided at themeeting May 25 painting lines on Ridgeview Drive will solve the parking and mail delivery situation.
Treasurer Tracy Malinowski reported a letter had been sent to residents and no calls were received at borough hall. A motion was passed unanimously to paint 22-foot lines in the Ridgeview Drive parking areas.
Councilperson Steve Hill brought up the mailbox container issue on Main and Second streets. Over the winter, the containers have become dilapidated and unsightly. The containers haven’t been replaced, yet they still receive mail.
“If the way the mailboxes look does not change, I will persuade council to take action.” Hill said.
Council agreed containers should be replaced and if the residents do not comply, council will take action.
“I would like the borough to look nice when people come into town,” President Ron DeIaco said.
