Richard E. Shearer, 59, of Zionsville, died June 3, 2016, in St. Luke’s Hospice House, Bethlehem. Born in Quakertown, he was the son of Shirley M. (Weaver) Shearer, of Coopersburg and the late Elmer F. Shearer.

He was a pipe fitter and welder.

He was a lifetime member of Ridge Valley Gun Club, the NRA and the PA Trappers Association.

He was a member of Camp Savage in Dingmans Ferry.

He is survived by his mother; daughter, Christine and her husband Douglas Stoudt, of Quakertown, his companion Bonnie Raab, of Zionsville; three sisters, Deborah Ann and her husband Kenny Kline, of Quakertown, Luann and her husband Pete McCarthy, of Trumbauersville and Donna Marie and her husband Bruce Vogel, of Emmaus; grandson, Austin; six nieces; four great-nieces and one great-nephew. He was predeceased by two nephews.

Graveside services will be held at Zion Hill Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Arrangements were made by the C.R. Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., Quakertown.
