Kurt M. Hittinger

Kurt M. Hittinger, 56, of Northampton, died May 20, 2016, in Allentown. He was the husband of Pamela L. (Henry) Hittinger for six years.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late J. Neil Hittinger and Elaine Lentz of Whitehall.

He was a 1977 graduate of Northampton High School, where he enjoyed playing varsity football.

He was in the Marine Corps for 21 years, achieving rank of GYSGT.

He was a forklift operator for Nestle Waters, Breinigsville.

He was a member of VFW Post 7293, Egypt; the American Legion Post 3739, Hokendauqua; and Marine Corps League 284, Bethlehem.

He was a member of Trout Unlimited, Hokendauqua Chapter.

He was a member of Fleet Reserve Association.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by a daughter, Kristian K. of San Francisco, Calif.; a sister, Karla of Macungie; three brothers, Keith N. and his wife Stephanie of Chandler, Ariz., Kevin L. and his wife Mary of Walnutport and Kent M. of Laurys Station; a niece; Amara; and two nephews, Cody and Zachary.

There will be calling hours from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. May 26 and 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., followed by the service 11 a.m., May 27 at the funeral home, 2119 Washington Ave., Northampton, 18067.

Contributions may be made to Marine Corps League, Bethlehem Detachment; or Project Healing Waters, both c/o the funeral home.
