Blue Mountain Farm Market will open on May 27. The market will be open noon-6 p.m. Fridays and 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturdays through October.
Local produce and farm products including vegetables, fruit, honey, eggs, brick oven bread and baked goods from nearby growers will be just some of what is available throughout the season.
Organizers Liz Wagner of Crooked Row Farm and Reuben DeMaster of Willow Haven Farm, New Tripoli, work with Buy Fresh, Buy Local Greater Lehigh Valley in their farm operations and are partnering with this organization to offer additional benefits and educational opportunities and events for the stand throughout the season.
The first of these includes Double SNAP dollars for customers paying for fresh produce with their Access/EBT cards.
BFBLGLV will match every $1 customers spend using SNAP (formerly food stamps) on fresh, local fruits and vegetables up to $10.
For information, contact Liz Wagner at 610-417-6982 or liz.m.wagner@gmail.com.
