Patricia K. Plouffe, 90, of Emmaus, died May 17, 2016, in St. Luke’s Hospice House. She was the wife of the late John R. Plouffe. Born in Long Island, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Anne (McCartin) Keenan.
She was a columnist for the East Penn Press and was a member of the National Federation of Press Women. She was active in the Lehigh Valley Writers Guild and the Alburtis Lock Ridge Historical Society.
She was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church, Emmaus.
She is survived by sons, Kim R. and his wife Kathy, of Philadelphia, Brad M. and his late wife Susan, of Macungie, and Christopher G. and his wife Kelly, of New Port Richey, Fla.; daughters, Barbara and her husband Stephen Klimek, of Allentown, Lynn Johnson, of Gouldsboro, Diane and her husband Joseph Kalata, of Mansfield, Robin, of Tucson, Ariz., and Marylee and her husband Thomas Zart, of Orefield; sisters, Mary and her husband Joseph Schreck, of Clinton Township., N.J., and Irene Ackley, of Concord, N.H.; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by sons, Ward M. and Shane and a brother, Robert Keenan.
