Edward S. Longtin
Edward S. Longtin, 84, of Salisbury Township, died May 11, 2016, in Phoebe Home, Allentown. He was the husband of Jean A. (Glendenmeyer) Longtin with whom he would have shared 62 years of marriage in September. Born in Bennington, Vt., he was the son of the late Roland and Lucy (Betit) Longtin.
He was a 51-year member of St. Paul’s R.C. Church, Allentown.
He served his country honorably in the Navy during the Korean War.
He worked as a machinist for 32 years at Mack Trucks before retiring.
He loved to golf and watch the political channels on television as well as listen to Johnny Cash with a beer in his hand.
He is survived by his wife; son, Steven E. and his wife Joan, of Allentown; daughters, Debra A. and her husband Charles R. Frisoli, of Hellertown, Michele M. and her husband Donald DeLuise, of Kutztown, Lisa R. and her husband John Hope, of Salisbury Township; siblings, John, of California, Adrienne Janny, of Northampton, Suzanne and her husband Donald Higgins, of Massachusetts, Christine Daigneault, of Vermont; grandchildren, Amy J. Frisoli and her companion Chuck Batdorf, of Danielsville, Charles E. Frisoli and his wife Kim, of Cherryville, Corey Berke and his companion, Nicole Schreiner, of Allentown, Nicole and her husband Shawn Diefenderfer, of Emmaus, Kayla A. Hope and her companion Kevin Shorten, of Trexlertown, Michael J. Hope, of Salisbury Township; great-grandchildren, Christine E. Illes and her fiance David Reinert, Julien Dechert, Gianna K. Frisoli, Aydan C. Berke, Mason C. Frisoli. He was predeceased by a brother, Dennis and a great-grandson, Garrett P. Illes.
