Bath Farmers Market is returning for its ninth season May 20 as a producer-only farmers market - and also is welcoming a new manager.
Sarah Fulton comes to the market with experience in event and festival planning and farmers market organizing and promoting. She also has more than a decade of experience as a freelance journalist.
“I am excited to help coordinate new family-friendly events and entertainment, attract more vendors from our area farms and businesses, and help strengthen the community,” Fulton said.
The market will return to Keystone Park at Route 329 and Green Street and will continue to have vendors who sell produce, meats, baked goods, honey, peanut butter, prepared foods and more.
The grand opening May 20 will include live music, a ribbon cutting with borough officials and a few additions. The 2016 season runs 3-7 p.m. Fridays through Sept. 30.
New this year: The market is no longer operating under the Borough of Bath; instead, it is now supported by Lehigh Valley Chamber Foundation, whose mission is community revitalization.
Renee Keiderling, northern tier manager of Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce, said the market “is an important addition to the Borough of Bath. The community and the local farmers have come to rely on it.”
