Betty M. George, 95, died May 5, 2016, at her residence in Fellowship Manor, Whitehall. She was the wife of the late Harold M. George.

Born in Catasauqua, she was a daughter of the late Tilghman V. and Clara E. (Painter) Holtzleicer.

She was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, Howertown. She was a former member of Salem UCC, Catasauqua.

She is survived by a son, David of Newfield, N.Y.; a daughter, Carol of Las Cruces, N.M.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two nieces, Anita Dreisbach of Schnecksville and Jean Dobbie of Glastonbury, Conn.; and a friend, Harrison Kline of Catasauqua.
