The third- and fourth-grade Elementary Challenge will take place on May 17 on the Northwestern Recreation Commission Community Park field. Rain date is May 20.

Northwestern Elementary

Third-grade students have been working very hard in music class in preparation for their musical 7 p.m. May 12 in the high school auditorium.

The program, “The Pearl of the Night,” will take the audience on a student expedition into the depths of the oceans.

Everyone is invited to attend this entertaining and educational program.

On May 2, Northwestern Elementary began collecting Pennies for Patients.

This program is designed for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and allows the students to help in the fight against blood cancers. The goal for this year is $1,300.

The program will run until May 16.

Rehearsal for Kindergarten Step-Up Day will be May 19.

All kindergarten students are asked to report to school for the morning session.

Kindergarten Step Up Day will be 9:30 a.m. on May 20 in the gymnasium.

Weisenberg Elementary

Fifth Grade Band and Choir Concert is scheduled for 2 p.m. May 18 in the gymnasium.

Middle school orientation for fifth-grade students is May 19. Students will be traveling to the middle school in the morning in preparation for their graduation to sixth grade.

Kindergarten students will have lunch at school May 20.
