‘Downton Abbey’

LVHM

“The Fashions & Times of ‘Downton Abbey’” is the subject of a Mother’s Day Tea, 1 p.m. May 7, Lehigh Valley Heritage Museum (LVHM) , 432 W. Walnut St., Allentown.

“This is the perfect tribute to Mother’s Day and a fun and engaging way to learn about a fascinating era of history,” said Joseph Garrera, LVHM Executive Director.

For six years, America tuned into the TV series, “Downton Abbey” and learned about the lives of the aristocratic Crawley family and their servants and friends. “Downton Abbey,” set in the years from just prior to World War I through the 1920s, reflected an era of dramatic change and upheaval. The slide-lecture will feature a fascinating glimpse of the 1920s, much as the hit series “Downton Abbey” has done.

At the conclusion of the lecture, guests can enjoy coffee, tea and a treat.

Pre-registration is required with Alyce Templeton, 610-435-1074, ext. 14.
