Shirley Turner, 66, of North Catasauqua, died April 27, 2016, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg. She was the wife of Daniel Turner for 31 years.

Born in Catasauqua, she was a daughter of Mary (Breisch) Hammersly of North Catasauqua and the late Allen Hammersly Sr.

She was a member of Salem United Church of Christ, Catasauqua.

She was involved with the North Catasauqua Playground and volunteered as a Catasauqua High School band parent.

In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by three daughters, Alyssa Pammer, Rebecca Turner and Jessica Newhard; a son, Matthew and his wife Susane; four sisters, Linda Mangan, Anna McMiller, Mary Althouse and Debra Wagner; a brother, Allen Hammersly Jr.; five grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Erika, Zachary, Chad and Brody; and many nieces and nephews.
