Charles A. Braxmeier Jr., 85, of Coplay, died April 28, 2016, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg. He was the husband of Loretta A. (Moran) Braxmeier for 63 years.

Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late Charles Sr. and Bertha (Trabell) Braxmeier.

He was a sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a Korean War veteran.

He was a manager of Division Services for PP&L, Allentown.

He was a member of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, Coplay, where he was a member of the finance committee and a school volunteer.

He was a past treasurer of PPL Gold Credit Union. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Calvary Council, Allentown.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children, Charles A. and his wife Linda of Phillipsburg, Lori and her husband Robert Naydyhor of Bethlehem Township and Thomas and his wife Rita of Bethlehem; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three sisters, Maryanna Weinhoffer, Margaret Gerlach and Rita Diefenderfer; and a brother, James.

He was predeceased by a daughter, Dr. Judith Page; two brothers, Philip and Edward; and a sister, Bertha Corby.
