Albert B. Bretz Jr., 83, of Whitehall, died May 1, 2016, at home. He was the husband of Theresa M. (Sodl) Bretz for 59 years.

Born in Whitehall, he was a son of the late Albert Sr. and Julia (Rechtor) Bretz.

He was a corporal in the U.S. Army and was a Korean War veteran.

He was a technician at AT&T Microelectronics, Allentown, until he retired after 40 years of service.

He was a member of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, Coplay.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Marita and her husband Richard Rabenold of Coplay and Donna and her husband Steven Volkert of Lehighton; four grandchildren, Michael, Daniel, Amanda and Sierra; and a sister, Julia Paul of Slatington.

He was predeceased by three brothers, Paul, James and Edward.
