Frank M. Skrapits, Esquire, 88, of Northampton, died April 23, 2016. He was the husband of Jeanette H. (Imp) Skrapits for 54 years.
Born in Northampton, he was a son of the late Frank and Anna (Heigl) Skrapits.
He was a staff sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a World War II veteran.
He was a graduate of Dickinson College and Georgetown University Law School.
He was an attorney in private practice. He was a former Northampton County assistant district attorney and a borough solicitor for North Catasauqua.
He was a member of Queenship of Mary Roman Catholic Church, Northampton.
He was a member of Catholic War Veterans Post 454, American Legion Post 954 and of Northampton and Lehigh county bar associations.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth M. of Wilkes-Barre; two sons, Frank T. and Matthew J., both of Northampton; two brothers, Dr. Louis and his wife Maryann of Wilmington, N.C., and John and his wife Barbara of Jim Thorpe; nieces; and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother, William.
