Buster
I want Buster back
I want to hear the clickety-click of his nails on the hardwood floor
I want to hear the chaotic barking when we enter the house
I want to feel a slightly slimy tennis ball being dropped into my hands
I want to see his smiling face, his pointed snout, and his wagging tail
I want to touch the soft, smooth fur on his beautiful coat
I know his suffering is over, and he’s in a better place, but I still want Buster back
