Thomas Paul Leibensperger Jr., 44, of Springfield, Va., died April 1, 2016, at his residence.

Born in Kingston, N.Y., he was a son of Judith (Reppert) Ott and the late Thomas P. Leibensperger.

He was a 1990 graduate of Whitehall High School and a 1994 cum laude graduate of Susquehanna University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in political science.

He was managing director for American Conservatives for Change. He worked previously for Blue Cross Blue Shield Association, Washington, D.C.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his stepfather, Dale W. Ott; his stepmother, Judith A. Leibensperger; a brother, Bruce and his wife Heather; a nephew, Brandon; a niece, Lauren Leibensperger; a stepbrother, Ryan and his wife Jennifer Ott; a stepsister, Heather and her husband Kevin Gring; and fiancée Noelle Chilmonik.

In addition to his father, he was predeceased by maternal grandparents Margaret (Renner) and Warren Reppert; and paternal grandparents, Geraldine (Acker) and Paul Leibensperger.
