Edgar A. Brobst Jr., 73, of Catasauqua, died April 4, 2016, in his home. He was the husband of the late JoAnne (Piovesan) Brobst.
Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Edgar A. Sr. and Beatrice E. (White) Brobst.
He was a coin/stamp specialist at Keystone Rare Coins, Allentown. Previously, he worked in the same capacity for Lehigh Valley Coin & Stamp. He was the co-owner of the former Edroy’s Shop, Northampton.
He played in several music groups, including Rocky Top, Jimmy Solderich and the Happy Yanks, and Music Inc. He performed on the same shows with Conway Twitty, Loretta Lynn, Hank Williams Jr. and Tammy Wynette.
He is survived by two daughters, Roxanne Deegan and her husband Ted W. Bachman of Schnecksville and Jessica M. and her husband Scott Bahnck of Catasauqua; a son, Edgar A. III of Emmaus; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a niece; a nephew; great-nieces; and great-nephews; and a brother, LeRoy and his wife Debbie of Northampton.
