William A. Weidner

William A. Weidner, 89, of Palmerton, died March 27, 2016, at St. Luke’s Hospital-Allentown campus. He was the husband of the late Gloria M. (Neitz) Weidner.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Edwin and Marie (Geist) Weidner.

He was a private in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He was a walkie stacker operator in stock room no. 25 for Mack Trucks Inc., Allentown, for 25 years until he retired in 1987. He was a union shop steward for local no. 677 for 25 years.

He is survived by his partner of 36 years, Jean Weidner; a son, Wayne A. of Walnutport; a sister, Shirley and her husband Earl Franklin of Allentown; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a brother, Richard; a daughter-in-law, Sharon Weidner; and a sister, Mary Miller.

There will be a graveside service 11 a.m. April 1 at St. Peter’s Union Cemetery, St. Peter’s Church Road, Macungie.
