Lillian C. Shade, 92, of Allentown, died March 26, 2016, at Cedarbrook Nursing Home, South Whitehall Township. She was the wife of the late Franklin L. Shade. Born in Alburtis, she was the daughter of the late Arthur W. and Sadie A. (Kruse) Reinert. Before retiring in 1974, she worked as a sewing machine operator for various mills and especially Emmaus Shirt Factory.

She was a former member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and the Alburtis Senior Citizens.

She is survived by a son, Grant A. and his wife, Mary Ann, of Bally; sister, Betty Kale, of Allentown; two granddaughters, Stephanie and Lynette; two nephews. She was predeceased by a brother Earl F. and a sister Marie D. Erdman.

Services will be held 11 a.m. March 31 at the Schmoyer Funeral Home, 8926 Brookdale Road, Breinigsville. A calling hour will begin 10 a.m. March 31.
