John Gollinger, 96, of Coplay, died March 22, 2016, at Manor Care, Bethlehem. He was the husband of the late Lillian (Jost) Gollinger.
Born in Rabafuzes, Hungary, he was a son of the late John and Theresia (Klement) Gollinger.
He was in the U.S. Navy and was a World War II veteran.
He was a route salesman for several New York bakeries.
He was a member of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, Coplay.
He was a member of Coplay Saengerbund.
He is survived by a son, James A. and his wife Lei of North Haven, Conn.; a daughter, Carol A. and her husband Bernard Murtagh of Roslyn Heights, N.Y.; a grandson, John and his wife Taneka Murtagh; two great-grandsons, Michael and Marcus; a sister, Bette Bischoff of Whitehall; and his companion, Inge Rottner of Coplay.
