Hilda C. Yost, 87, of Whitehall, died March 27, 2016, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

Born in Stiles, she was a daughter of the late Adolph Sr. and Cecilia (Failer) Yost.

She was a sewing machine operator for the former Cross Country Clothes in Northampton and Egypt.

She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Coplay.

She is survived by a sister, Emma Kornfiend of Florida; two brothers, John of Whitehall and Alfred of Las Vegas, Nev.; nieces; and nephews.

She was predeceased by five brothers, Adolph Jr., Herbert, Edward, Richard and Leonard; two sisters, Cecilia and Emily Makovsky; and her fiancé, Dr. Edward Budihas.
