Doris E. Krause, 100, of Fullerton, died March 21, 2016. She was the wife of the late Emil F. Krause for 57 years.

Born in Poplar Valley, she was a daughter of the late Charlton B. and Emma (Jennings) Marsh.

She was a 1933 graduate of Stroudsburg High School.

She was a dental assistant to Dr. Carl F. New- hardt for many years until she retired.

She was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Fullerton, where she was a Sunday school teacher and a Girl Scout leader.

She was a member and a former president of Catasauqua Garden Club. She volunteered at Cedarbrook Nursing Home for several years. She was named to the Voters Hall of Fame, Harrisburg, for her 50 years of consecutive voting.

She is survived by a son, Robert E., with whom she resided; two daughters, Elaine D. Swackhamer of Somerset, N.J. and Carole F. and her husband Richard P. Holub of Northampton; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a brother, Harold “Bud” Marsh; two sisters, Evelyn Akers and Mary Ethel Brewer; and a son-in-law, Doyle Swackhamer.
