Alvin S. Hart, 92, of Allentown, died March 25, 2016, in his home. He was the husband of Mae A. (Scheirer) Hart for 62 years.

Born in Cementon, he was a son of the late John M. and Susannah (Kovalchik) Hart.

He was a 1941 graduate of Whitehall High School and attended the Casey Jones School of Aeronautics.

He was in the Army Air Corps during World War II.

He worked for the Reece Corporation for 39 years and retired as a regional manager.

He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Hokendauqua, where he was an elder and was on the board of trustees.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Brian and his wife Joann; a daughter, Diane and her husband Timothy Wehr; and four grandchildren, Rachel Hart, Brianna Hart-Schlappich and her husband Timothy Schlappich, Steven and his wife Kristin Wehr and Alison Wehr and her fiancé Derreck Alcott.

He was predeceased by six sisters; and three brothers.
