George E. Myers

George E. Myers, 90, of Allentown and formerly of Northampton, died March 11, 2016, at Phoebe Home. He was the husband of the late Delores “Dolly” Myers for 68 years.

He was the son of the late Ruth and Elvin Myers.

An U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, he was an aviation mechanic stationed at Pensacola Naval Air Station.

He worked in sheet metal layout and was a CNC programmer at the former Fuller Company for 30 years.

He was a member of Northampton Lions and was a Four Chaplains Award recipient.

He was a member of Grace United Church of Christ, Northampton, and was a former member of Church of the Manger, Bethlehem, and was on the church councils and in the choir.

He was a member of the Raccoon Club, Seemsville.

He is survived by two sons, Steve and his wife Joan Matura and George and his wife Nancy; three grandchildren, Donavin Judy, Thomas Diehl and Jasen Judy; three great-grandchildren, Jacob Judy and Amber and Cooper Diehl; three nieces, Nancy and her husband Barry Godusky, Joan and her husband Kurt Dankel and Anne and her husband Bruce Rohrbach; a nephew, Lee and his wife Karen Hinkel; and two sisters, Kathleen and her husband Clayton Hinkel and Margery and her husband Marvin Wolfe.
