Bernadine Rose Agnew, 79, of Bushkill Township, died March 17, 2016, at Moravian Hall Square Nursing Home, Nazareth. She was the wife of William Agnew for 58 years.
Born in Coplay, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Theresa (Schadl) Marx.
She was a Allentown Central Catholic High School and Kutztown State Teacher’s College graduate.
She was a teacher at Asa Packer Elementary School, Easton, and Sleepy Hollow Elementary School, Falls Church, Va. She was a substitute teacher in the Nazareth School District for many years. She taught catechism at Holy Family Catholic Church, Nazareth.
She was active in many Bible study groups.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Bernadine and her husband Donald Kosciusko of Bushkill Township and Christine Herman of Bethlehem; two sons, William of Bethlehem and Mark of Alexandria, Va.; a sister, Margaret Marx of Whitehall; and five grandchildren.
She was predeceased by three sisters, Celia, Mary and Frieda; and three brothers, Charles, Joseph and Francis.
