Robert E. Dougherty Jr., 59, of Northampton, died March 6, 2016, at his home.

Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Robert E. Dougherty Sr. and Marlene F. “Dolly” Dougherty.

He liked to go fishing and working with tools.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by a son, Robert E. III and Carrie Williams of Lehighton; a grandson, Garrett E. Dougherty of Lehighton; a sister-in-law, Lisa Dougherty of Northampton; a niece, Cheyenne Dougherty of Northampton; several aunts; and an uncle.

He was predeceased by a brother, David J. Dougherty.
