Paul M. Pastier, 82, of Whitehall, died March 9, 2016, at home. He was the companion of Esther Mauser of Egypt for 36 years.
Born in Palmerton, he was a son of the late Anton and Julia (Sebo) Pastier.
He was a 1951 graduate of Palmerton High School.
He worked at Lehigh Valley Refractories Inc. until he retired at age 64. He then worked part time at The Morning Call newspaper until he was 79.
He was a lifetime member of Palmerton Hungarian Club.
He is survived by a daughter, Paula Larrabee of Aurora, Colo.; a son, James and his wife Sabine of Lower Macungie Township; three granddaughters, Lindsey Larrabee of Denver, Colo., Jeannie Giannone of Chicago, Ill. and Charlene and her partner James Wright of Claydon, England; one great-granddaughter, Maya Grace Wright of Claydon, England; and extended family members, Debbie Gerencser of Northampton and her partner Rudy Schlener, Taylor and her husband Chad Stefanyak of Whitehall, and four great-grandsons, Reed Peter, Jack Paul, Ian and his wife Dana Gerencser of Center Valley and Nolan and his wife Veronica Gerencser of Easton.
He was predeceased by three brothers, Anton of Kissimmee, Fla., John of Jersey City, N.J. and Louis of Palmerton.
