Herbert M. Leiby Jr., 86, of Bushnell, Fla. and formerly of Northampton, died March 7, 2016, at Munroe Regional Medical Center, Ocala, Fla. He was the husband of the late Phyllis Leiby.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Herbert Sr. and Julia (Gilly) Leiby.

He was in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.

He worked at Mack Trucks, Allentown, for 50 years until he retired. He was a past member of the American Legion, Whitehall, and of the VFW in Northampton and Bushnell.

He is survived by three daughters, Julie Ann Beil of Spring Hill, Fla.; Bernice and her husband Timothy Murphy of Bushnell, Fla. and Carrie and her husband Kevin Breyer of Bethlehem; a son, Richard Otter of Allentown; a sister, Elsie Lagler of Whitehall; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
