Ernest “Ernie” J. Feichtl, 80, of Northampton, died March 9, 2016, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg, Bethlehem. He was the husband of Ruthann (Heffelfinger) Feichtl for 41 years.

Born in Northampton, he was a son of the late Rudolph and Caroline (Konya) Feichtl.

He was a SP4 in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

He was a water meter reader for the Northampton Borough Municipal Authority for over 29 years until he retired in 1995.

He was a member of Queenship of Mary Roman Catholic Church, Northampton.

He was a life member of the CWV Post 454, Northampton, and a former treasurer of the home association.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a niece; and a nephew.

He was predeceased by a brother, Rudolph.
