There will be no school March 11 for a teacher in-service day.

Kindergarten registration will take place April 6-8 at Weisenberg Elementary School.

Students in grades three through five will take PSSA testing in April.

Dates are: English Language Arts: April 11 to 15; mathematics: April 18-22; science (grade 4 only) April 25 to 29.

NORTHWESTERN ELEMENTARY

Spring book fair is coming! Scholastic books will be available for purchase March 17-24 in the library.

Literary Arts Night is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. March 22. Students will display their artistic talents.

Fourth graders will perform 6 p.m. in the gym and will be celebrating the ’70s.

Family Night is almost here. The event will take place 5-8 p.m. March 12. Snow date is March 19.

A Chinese auction and silent will be available.

Weisenberg needs cell phone donations to use with its new Google Cardboard viewers.

Google Cardboard uses cell phone technology to create an immersive virtual reality experience, where users feel as though they have been transported to national museums and parks, and other attractions.

To donate a cell phone, notify the teacher and send it with the child to school.

Phones compatible with Google Cardboard are iPhone 5, iPhone 6, and Android phones, as long as they are running Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) or above, which was released in 2012.
