Doris Treweek Watkins, 93, of Whitehall and a guest at Country Meadows of Allentown, died March 3, 2016, in Cedarbrook. She was the wife of the late Robert J. Watkins for 67 years.
Born in Nesquehoning, she was a daughter of the late Herbert and Ethel (Gover) Treweek.
She was a 1940 graduate of Nesquehoning High School.
She was a claims processor for Capital Blue Cross, Allentown, for over 18 years until she retired in 1984. She previously worked in admissions at Sacred Heart Hospital, Allentown.
She was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, Fullerton, where she sang on the chancel and gospel choirs and was a member of the former Ladies Aide Society.
She volunteered at the Phoebe Home, where she was a member of the auxiliary, and at Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest.
She is survived by a son, Robert “Larry” and his wife Linda of Slatington; seven grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and a brother, Herbert Treweek of Florida.
She was predeceased by a son, James C. Watkins; a sister, Jane Cramer; and a brother, Robert Treweek.
