Alan Leroy Ruth, 48, of Bethlehem, died Feb. 23, 2016, after being struck by a car. Born in Allentown, he was a son of Delores M. (Shankweiler) and Paul L. Ruth, of Macungie.

He was an auto body technician. His avocation was music where he was a member of The Rustic Image Band. He was an accomplished guitar player, songwriter and vocalist. In addition, he excelled in drawing and graphic arts.

He is survived by his parents; siblings, Michael P. and his wife Bonnie, Kathi and her husband Brian McBride, Cindy and her husband John Ruchinski; nieces and nephews.

Arrangements were made by the David J. Boyko Funeral Home, Macungie.
