Elizabeth M. Mraz, 82, of Northampton, died Feb. 20, 2016, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg Campus, Bethlehem. She was the wife of The Rev. Jerry Mraz for 60 years.

Born in New York City, N.Y., she was a daughter of the late John Marecek and Anna (Chlebik) Marecek.

She was the guidance office secretary at Northampton Area High School for 24 years until she retired in 1996.

She was a former member of and a 37-year Sunday school teacher at Holy Trinity Slovak Lutheran Church and a member of Ladies Aid Society at the church. She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church, Cherryville.

She was a past board member of the former Business Professional Women’s Club, Northampton, and a past board of directors member of both the Northampton Band Booster’s Club and the former Northampton Exchangettes Club.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three daughters, Cathy Ann and her husband John Kimmel of Lithia, Fla., Karen and her husband Timothy Lockard of Laurys Station and Susan Edelman of Macungie; a son, John Mraz of Allentown; seven grandchildren, Meagan and her husband Mark Duarte, Allison, Kayla and her fiancée Brett Karan, Matthew, Douglas, Kelly and Karly; a great-grandson, Grayson; and family members Dale Edelman Jr., Lee Smith and Mary Louise Drosdak.

She was predeceased by sister, Susan Macey.
