Catherine J. Check, 84, of Catasauqua, died Feb. 17, 2016, at her residence. She was the wife of the late Albert P. Check.

Born in Coplay, she was a daughter of the late Julius and Catherine (Steiner) Gollatz.

She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Catasauqua. She had worked at the former Raxon Silk Mill as a floor hand for 30 years before retiring.

She is survived by a daughter, Dr. Sandra and her husband David Miller; a son, Albert A.; a sister, Vilma Gollatz; nieces; and nephews.

She was predeceased by nine brothers and sisters.
