Weisenberg and Northwestern elementary schools need cell phone donations to use with their new Google Cardboard viewers.
Google Cardboard uses cell phone technology to create an immersive virtual reality experience, where users feel as though they have been transported to national museums and parks, and other attractions.
To donate a cell phone, notify the teacher and send it with the child to school.
Phones compatible with Google Cardboard are iPhone 5, iPhone 6, and Android phones, as long as they are running Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) or above, which was released in 2012.
