Luke G. “Snug” Serensits, 92, of Whitehall, died Feb. 14, 2016. He was the husband of Marie (Marth) Serensits for 70 years.

Born in Northampton, he was a son of the late August and Anna (Malits) Serensits.

He was a medic and German translator with the U.S. Army during World War II. He was awarded with one silver and three bronze stars.

He was an oil delivery man for Reichenbach’s until retirement.

He was a member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Roman Catholic Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Kevin and his wife Alice (Kochanasz) of Whitehall; two grandchildren, Kelly and Luke; two sisters, Anna Keller and Mary Sipics; and three brothers, Edward, Frank and Stephen Serensits.

He was predeceased by 10 siblings.
