Helen Klement, 89, of Coplay, died Feb. 16, 2016, at home, She was the wife of the late John S. Klement.

Born in Coplay, she was a daughter of the late John and Julia (Wunderler) Lohr Sr.

She was a deputy clerk for Lehigh County Clerk of Courts of Civil Division for 17 years until she retired in 1991.

She was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Coplay, where she was a vice president of the Altar and Rosary Society.

She was a life member of Coplay Saengerbund and a member of Lehigh County Democratic Women’s Club, Coplay Senior Citizens and Coplay Democratic Club.

She is survived by two daughters, Kathleen and her husband Bryan Carson of Glen Mills and Julie and her husband Dr. Daniel Henkel of Richmond, Va.; a son, Dr. John F. Klement of Coplay; and two sons, Evan and Luke Henkel.

She was predeceased by three sisters, Julia Hadl, Stella Bauer and Hermina Stranzl; and three brothers, John Jr., William and Alfred Lohr.
