Students at Weisenberg Elementary School recently had a Race For Education as part of their fall festival.
Activities included decorating saucers, running and a bean bag toss.
The event was designed to raise money for field trips and special activities for the students.
The goal set for the event was $15,000 with the promise if students achieved that goal, their principal, Jill Berlet, would turn herself into a “human sundae.”
Not only did they meet the goal, they surpassed it by raising $23,000 for their activity fund.
