Patricia Ann Gilbert

Patricia Ann Gilbert, 78, of Walnutport, died Feb. 11, 2016, at the At Home In Parkland personal care home.

She was the wife of William “Bill” Gilbert for 47 years.

Born in Mount Airy, Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late John and Lydia (George) Kennedy.

She attended Girls High School, Philadelphia. She earned a degree in elementary education from Beaver College, now Arcadia University, Glenside. She pursued graduate studies at the University of Chicago.

She taught fifth grade in the Abington School District. She was a pianist, organist and accompanist and played the organ at Central Presbyterian Church, Downingtown.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Lydia Tamara “Tammy” and her husband Ed Seidick; two siblings, Nancy Marcolina and John Kenney; two nieces; nephews; two grandchildren, Mickey and Danny Seidick; three step-grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a sister, Doris Matlack; and a stepson, William F. Gilbert.

There will be a calling hour at 10 a.m., followed by the service at 11 a.m., both Feb. 19 at the funeral home, 444 Pershing Blvd., Whitehall, 18052.
