Frieda H. Howerter, 91, of Emmaus, died Feb. 5, 2016, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. She was the wife of the late Paul H. Howerter who died June 3, 2008. Born in Dillingersville, she was the daughter of the late John and Sarah (Heist) Shelly.

She was an active member of Bethel Bible Fellowship Church, Emmaus.

She is survived by a daughter, Linda M. and her husband George Gibson; sons, Gary D. and Daniel P.; grandchildren, Amy and her husband Eric, Melissa, Christopher and Steven; great-grandchildren, Tobias, Nathaniel and Benjamin Dewire; sister, Mae Geissinger.

Services will be 11 a.m. Feb. 12 at Bethel Bible Fellowship Church, 418 Elm St., Emmaus. A viewing will be held 7 to 9 p.m. Feb. 11 at the Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 225 Elm St., Emmaus and 10 to 11 a.m. Feb. 12 in the church.
