Emma L. Schlener, 80, of Allentown, died Jan. 30, 2016, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Allentown. She was the wife of David L. Schlener for 56 years.

Born in Catasauqua, she was a daughter of the late Joseph A. and Edith E. (Heberling) Sperlbaum.

She was a former member of St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church, Allentown.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three children, David Louis Jr., Randal S. and his wife Machelle and Roger W. and his wife Allison; two daughters, Christine and her husband Sami Azar and Carolyn Blust and her husband Shannon; a brother, Raymond and wife Ann Sperlbaum; six grandchildren; and a great-grandson.

She was predeceased by two brothers; and two sisters.

The service will be private.
