Donald E. Hoosier, 91, of Whitehall, died Feb. 1, 2016, at Phoebe Home Inc., Allentown. He was the husband of the late Bernice R. (Kocher) Hoosier.

Born in Whitehall Township, he was a son of the late Elmer and Marguerite (Geiger) Hoosier.

He was a flight engineer in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.

He was a welder with the former Caloric Corporation, Topton. Prior to that, he worked for the former Bethlehem Steel Corporation for 12 years.

He was a member of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, Whitehall.

He was a member of Hokendauqua American Legion.

He is survived by two sons, Gary J. Sr. and his wife Linda of Alburtis and Eugene D. and his wife Pat of Wescosville; a daughter, Connie M. Zuber of Treichlers; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
